5 YEARS EXPERIENCE MINIMUM
Someone working on a multitude of different projects is preferred.
a fitter that simply does structural or assembly line welding will not be a fit

Temp to hire
16.00 to 17.00 per hour based on experience
Must be available for all shifts. Rotating shifts between daylight and afternoon
Flexible start time on Dayshift. 8 hrs a day Monday
Afternoon is 3pm 10hr shift on Afternoons for 4 days a week.
During the Summer there will be a Midnight shift.
Must have personal welding equipment: Steel Toe Boots, Hood, Gloves, Jacket.
Weld test and interviews will be held prior to being offered a position.
520 Hr probationary period.
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean criminal background
Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs without physical restrictions.
If considered for the position, Drug testing will be random.
POSITION SUMMARY
Interpret drawings, sketches, instructions and welding symbols to accurately and productively fit and weld a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys and aluminum utilizing SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), FCAW (Flux Core) and GMAW (MIG) in a multi-shift custom manufacturing job shop environment.
This is not a production shop. Most jobs are unique.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Effectively and efficiently interpret drawings to determine dimensional criteria, welding symbols, tolerances, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), sequence of operations, set-ups, fixturing and tooling to accurately and productively perform SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), FCAW (Flux Core) and GMAW (MIG) fitting and welding on a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Effectively and efficiently perform in position welding as well as out-of-position welding utilizing the welding processes and materials described above.
Weld deposition quality shall be capable of passing a variety testing processes including mechanical deformation testing and Non-destructive Testing (NDT) including radiograph, dye penetrant and magnetic particle.
Certify to ASME and AWS specifications.
Set-up, operate, and maintain all tools, equipment and materials.
Communicate extensively with affected workers on other shifts via written notes/instructions and/or telephone to convey detailed information accurately to enhance the continuity of the manufacturing operations and assure conformance to requirements and company objectives.
Effectively, efficiently and accurately understand quality assurance requirements and their impact on welding processes and the parts being produced.
Assure conformance of tasks, processes and product to customer and/or company specifications and requirements by properly utilizing measuring instruments, measuring tools, gages and/or by any means as deemed necessary for verifying conformance as defined by the requirements.
Perform any and all other tasks required or as instructed and assure that all work is performed in a safe and professional manner.
