Daily Operating Procedures include the following:
- Technicians must perform daily walk thru of the facility to insure all equipment is in proper working order.
- Must be able to spot repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Identify, purchase, and replace defective equipment parts in the plant.
- Help in developing (on going process) and keeping records for a preventative maintenance program, performing work as preventative maintenance schedule requires in a timely manner.
- General Maintenance of all refrigeration units in the facility.
- General Building Maintenance
- Must have the ability to help install and learn new production processes as they are brought into the facility.
- General sanitation of maintenance area, serviced equipment and waste water areas.
- Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:

Education/ Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least five year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
Must be able to pass forklift training class
Language Ability:
The ability to read, comprehend and create maintenance documents, such as PM documents, repair orders, and waste water logs
The Technician must have the ability to understand documents such as wiring diagrams, blue prints, and other documents as pertaining to the repair, up keep, and maintenance of the equipment. Must be able to work with outside contractors and vendors to insure the proper operations, repair and up keep of the equipment and facility,
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to the operations of the equipment and building and carry out repairs or implement new ideas with little or no instruction.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
The noise level is moderate.
